Famous Endermologie

Are you doing enough to love your lymph?

Time to share some more content from the awesome Perry Nickelston.

Do yourself a favour, if you have a body, you ought to check this guy out. What he doesn’t know about lymph isn’t worth knowing.

And let’s face it your lymphatic system is important. In fact in ancient medicine, the lymphatic system was held as the premier system of the body. It was widely recognised that if there a problem with the lymph flow it meant that your body was effectively entering a distressed state.

I’ll be reposting some more awesome hand-picked content from @stopchasingpain over the next free days/weeks, so stay tuned.

In Dr Perry’s words:.What better way to start 2021 than talking about by favorite subject: lymph Make a New Year Resolution to love your lymph. It will pay you back in so many ways.

Interesting note about Chapman: Chapman felt 80% of illness was related to lymphatic blockage and 20% to bony dysfunctions.

Psssst…most of your lymph is in the abdomen and runs along blood and nerve points. Always remember No system in the body ever works alone. Never gets injured alone. Never heals alone. Think bigger. Think better. Think systems. Learn more on STOPCHASINGPAIN.com❤️

Do you know how Endermologie helps with pain?

Apart from the deep muscle and connective tissue (fascia) stimulation, Endermologie also causes a significant alteration in blood and lymph circulation through these tissues. In fact, there’s an increase of 400% in blood circulation and a 300% increase in Lymphatic circulation!!!

Not sure what that means for your pain? This repost from @stopchasingpain might help:.“Blood and lymph determine the health of tissues and, consequently their shape.’ If the solid fascia allows movement, the liquid fascia is the “intelligence” that allows its evolution and continuation.’ -Bruno Bordoni Blood and lymph are considered liquid connective tissue Fluids have vectors and forces volumes and speeds that create the blueprint for development What does that mean in the movement and pain world for us at SCP?

You can have a blood or lymph fluid issue far removed from your site of pain that has altered the shape and health of tissues in that location which may cause pain and compensation in another Example: Poor flow in the right axillary lymph node and axillary artery causes issues on the left shoulder and arm. A reason we always assess the identical painful area on the other side of the body. In this case the left shoulder hurts so check the right too. One of our checklist manifestos is to assess

ALL primary blood flow and lymph points in the body no matter what hurts or where it hurts We restore universal flow FIRST then we do isolated work SECOND Pain only tells you there is a problem it does not tell you what it is or where it is. Treating a painful spot isn’t difficult, discovering why it won’t go away is where the thinking process comes in Stop Chasing Pain STOPCHASINGPAIN.com❤️#stopchasingpain#chronicpain#move#chiropractic#fitness#exercise#movement#inflammation#LTAS

Inflammation = fluid waste. It’s what the lymphatic system is designed to reduce.

Inflammation = fluid waste. It’s what the lymphatic system is designed to reduce.

Bloated tummy? Heavy legs? Stiff joints? Taught, uncomfortable skin? All of these are signs of inflammation and an overburdened, underperforming lymphatic system.

Endermologie helps. Over 145 clinical trials agree.

Thanks again to @stopchasingpain for the content:.“Inflammation isn’t bad. Not being able to get reduce or get rid of inflammation is badSince we know that systemic inflammation (silent inflammation) is linked to chronic pain and disease, the next logical step is to learn how the systems influencing inflammation (lymphatic for one) works and how to take care of it.

That’s what we do. That’s our thing. It saved my life and now I teach you Remember, the lymphatic system is a major part of your immune system and your cardiovascular system. No system in the body ever works alone. Never gets injured alone. Never heals alone. Think bigger. Think better.

Think systems Question for you? You’ve been suffering for months and years how many people have ever mentioned the lymphatic system to you? Bet I know the answer. Nobody did for me either This is where most people assume if it was that important somebody would’ve told them about it already. Wrong! Super Duper Uber wrong😃Fundamentals and basics are almost always the ones that are neglected

STOPCHASINGPAIN.com❤️#lymph #lymphaticsystem#lymphnodes#lymphaticmassage#lymphaticdrainage#lymphaticmojo#loveyourlymph#bodyaquarium #stopchasingpain#chronicpain Effective things don’t have to be complicated

Struggling with stubborn fat deposits? Maybe (probably) your lymphatic system needs some TLC. That’s where Endermologie excels!

Struggling with stubborn fat deposits? Maybe (probably) your lymphatic system needs some TLC.

Another consise and pertinent post from Dr Perry @stopchasingpain

‘The lymphatics are our sewers so they must flow. Good flow is needed for good health – slow lymph flow means more fat deposits; reduced lymph flow means more infections.”

– Professor Neil Pillar (Flinders University)

What he said.

Is your lymphatic system congested? Then Endermologie will help you look and feel heaps better.

Another excellent post from @stopchasingpain “Basic medical and osteopathic research have proven that chronic lymphatic congestion with resultant poor oxygenation of the cells is associated with increased infection, increased mortality, increased healing time, and increased fibrosis and scarring if healing does occur.

Studies have also shown that tissue congestion decreases the effectiveness of medical therapy.” – Kuchera

Probably a good idea to take care of that lymphatic system of yours hey?

Are you aware of the importance of maintaining lymphatic flow? It’s essential to immunity, mobility and life itself.

Are you following @stopchasingpain yet? No? Ok, I’ll keep reposting until you do!! The more you know about your lymphatic system, the healthier you will be!

‘Under normal conditions, lymphatic return to the heart in a 24-hour period is equal to the entire serum volume of the body. There is no argument about the importance of maintaining lymphatic flow from the lungs and disease or in health.’ – Kuchera

Effective things don’t have to be complicated 😉 👇No argument assuming you even know about lymphatic flow and why it matters 😃

You won’t get any argument from us. That’s our jam. We know how critical lymph flow is. That’s why we teach and talk about it all the time.

Simple really: Lymph keeps you alive and thriving. It is a major part of your immune and cardiovascular systems. If it stopped working you would be dead in 24 hours.

It removes and kills toxins, bacteria, viruses, fungus, parasites, cancer, metabolic and cellular waste. Stuff you don’t want hanging out inside of your bodyLungs are a primary way you inhale toxins, make toxins (think oxidative stress) and exhale toxins. Lungs are supposed to be a primary detox organ of the body. Notice the words supposed to.

And guess where the lymphatic system can get congested/stagnated/ obstructed the most? Their drainage point near the apex of the lungs. At the collarbone STOPCHASINGPAIN.com❤️

Much love #stopchasingpain#lungs#lymph#breathing

Amen. Less attack. More nurture.

No thanks. I’m fine with just being me.

Anyone else being inundated with offers from beauty salons/aesthetic clinics/gyms offering to make me brand new?

Am I the only one who feels a little miffed each time? I mean, I think I’m kinda ok right now?

Sure I’ve got to get my fitness back on track and shift some of this weight I’ve gained in lockdown.

And I ought to be nicer to my skin.

And I really, really need to up my self-care game and sort out some kind of work-life-parenting balance.

But overall, I’m happy to work on improving the existing me rather than invent a whole new one.

Is it just me?

Another essential for a happy, healthy body.

You know, it dawned on me yesterday after I’d posted about diet, exercise and Endermologie being the perfect trifecta for a healthy, happy body, that it’s really just the tip of the iceberg.

There are so many other elements to maintaining good health that would be foolish to ignore.

Sleep, for example. Our bodies require plenty of rest and a good nights sleep in order to be at is best.

I’ve written about it before and dedicated a whole chapter of my book “Life Detox: Finding calm in the chaos”, so I believe it’s really very important.

Let me know if you’d like me to share the hows and why’s we need good sleep?

Well worth a watch if you know anyone suffering with a lymphatic condition.

I’ve just watched the first 20 mins of this and am already nodding emphatically in agreement! Can’t wait to watch the whole thing later tonight.

If you know anyone with a Lymphatic Condition (lymphedema), it’s definitely worth sharing.

Heads up on a small change to appointment times.

What you’re looking at here is a 5 week wait for new consults. Eeek!

What that means is… every hour between now and then is solely dedicated to existing clients and a few lucky people who’ve been able to book in consults a little earlier.

I’ve been extending my hours most days to accommodate everyone for months now, so the only way to allow more people to change their lives with a Endermologie is to reduce the additional COVIDSafe times between appointments starting from today. Hopefully this will make sure that no one gets left out, but I need your help too please.

If you can’t make your appointment, please give me as much notice as possible. As I’m with Clients all day most days, It’s tricky to reschedule people last minute, so I need 24 hours notice to fill a spot. (Hence my 24 hour cancellation policy. Which I’m gonna have to start enforcing with conviction, no matter the reason for late cancellations).

I’ve been loving the relaxed atmosphere that the additional 15 mins between appointments has created, but have noticed that what’s happened is that I often use those extra minutes for additional treatment time and a good old natter! So I will need to get a little (ok, a lot) more disciplined in sticking to treatment schedules and allowing people to leave without hearing all of my ramblings !!

That means you might notice a slightly quicker turnaround. Again I’ll need your help with this please; If possible, please try and book your appointments online rather then during our allotted treatment time. Or send me a text with your preferred dates and I can take a look at the end of the day.

I realise how incredibly lucky I am to be so busy with days that feel so full of genuine connection and laughter. And I am so thankful to my wonderful Clients for trusting me with their wellness goals.

P.S. if anyone has any great ideas on increased productivity or cloning, hit me with them ok?

Some great mini workouts here for post Endermologie ‘fat burning’!

Got DOMs? Try Endermologie. Your body will thank your it.

Spending time with my little cross country runner this morning to help her stretch out her quad muscles and fascia after her run on Thursday. Reminded me that I want to share this awesome post:.

Thanks to @lpgendermologietownsville for this post about⁣ ⁣🏋️ Reducing DOMS 🏋️‍♀️⠀⠀⠀⠀
We all know the pain of trying to sit on a chair after an intense leg day at the gym! 🥵😂⠀⠀

DOMS stands for Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness and is usually felt 1-3 days after the workout (not during or immediately after).⠀⠀⠀

The pain you’re feeling is a combo of torn muscle fibres (normal with eccentric training) and a build up of inflammation surrounding this. ⠀⠀⠀

To ease your DOMS, it is recommended that you 👇

🚶‍♂️keep moving! Stagnant muscles will promote stiffness, so go for a light walk or swim⠀

🛀 enjoy a cold bath to reduce inflammation⠀⠀

🚰 stay hydrated to keep your fascia lubricated and the muscles in a recovery state⠀⠀

💊 add magnesium into your routine whether it be a roll-on or spray, a bath salt or supplementation⠀⠀

💆‍♀️ get a massage 48hrs after the onset! A study found this drastically reduced pain. Or even better – try Endermologie! Adopted by many athletes, the benefits of LPG techniques have also been proven by reputable scientific studies. With the Endermologie machine, it is possible to significantly optimise performance, speed up recovery and reduce healing time after an injury. ⠀⠀

Some of the athletes that love the LPG technology are 👉 Rodrigo Roncero (football champion), Nelson Philippe (youngest indycar race winner), Zinedine Zidane (soccer world player of the year 3 times), Christiano Ronaldo (soccer captain and top scorer) and Frederick Bousquet (Olympic swimming champion).⠀⠀⠀

How to make and use Castor oil packs and why you definitely should! They’re cheap, easy and they really work.

After chatting with a client earlier about castor oil packs, I’ve realised that the benefits are still not common knowledge. In fact, she’s even found it hard to source the stuff locally. (I buy mine in bulk from www.newdirections.com.au) The benefits of such a simple thing reap enormous rewards.

Here’s a good article that explains how and when to use them:

Another reason to keep your lymphatic circulation in tip top shape with regular Endermologie.

Do you know about the link between emotion and fat storage? Read on to find out more.

An interesting viewpoint from @healersofthelight: “All types of stress and worry lead to the production of cortisol, a hormone that causes you to store fat.⠀However, there are some emotions which are known for making us more vulnerable to storing body fat like separation, abandonment, loss, and the need to be seen and recognized.⠀⠀

Storing fat represents our need for protection from the outsiders, or from external circumstances. In some cases it can represent the need to protect us from ourselves.”

Are you worried about weight? Don’t. What’s important is muscle mass, healthy skin, healthy diet, exercise, rest & soul-nourishment.

Just a little public service announcement. Don’t mind me when my eyes glaze over when you talk to me about kilograms. There are 2 reasons I stop listening.

First, I’m still stuck in stones and pounds! And secondly (and more importantly) your weight only tells a tiny part of the story.

What’s really important is your muscle mass, healthy skin (which usually tells us that your lymphatic circulation is keeping up) and maintaining a healthy balanced life in terms of diet, exercise, rest and soul-nourishment.

If you’re not happy with your shape, you can do something about that too (Hello Endermologie) but fixating on weight won’t help.

The only weights we ought to worry about are the ones we’re lifting in the gym.

The 29th of June is World Scleroderma Day. Internationally we recognise this day to raise awareness about scleroderma. There is no cure for scleroderma for the 6,000 Australians who have been diagnosed.

Although Endermologie has been proven to relieve some of the symptoms associated with the condition, as seen in this study: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15324386/

“Results: In all patients there was a large improvement in the clinical appearance of the lesions, the induration and the pain. Elasticity was particularly increased, not only based on clinical findings but also as documented with objective assessment. The acceptability of the treatment was good and the patients reported an improved quality of life.

Conclusion: The LPG technique (Endermologie) is an adjunctive treatment for morphea (a form of scleroderma). It cannot eliminate the disease but can relieve the pain, soften the skin and improve the quality of life for these patients.”

🌻 Scleroderma shortens life expectancy, 23 years for women and 26 for men.

🌻 Women are 7 times more likely to develop scleroderma than men.

🌻 Scleroderma reduces quality of life and ability to work. Individuals with scleroderma on average retire 15 years before their healthy population peers.

Here we go again Melbourne.

Just hopping online to cancel all booked appointments for the next 5 days. Sigh.

Stay strong peeps.

Please reach out if there’s anything I can help with.

And right now is a really great time to get vaccinated I reckon… let’s try and prevent a 6th lockdown eh?

Back from lockdown!

And just like that, we’re back in action from tomorrow Wednesday 28th!

It’ll be business we we know it, with a continuation of the Covid-safe practices we’ve already had in place pre-lockdown.

Please read on for a quick refresh!

To ensure yours and other Clients’ safety, please adhere to the following protocols:

– If you, a family member or a friend you’ve spent time with has been exposed to Covid19 or is currently in isolation after recently travelling, please wait until 2 weeks after any possible exposure to book your appointment.

– If you, a family member or a friend you’ve spent time with is unwell, has experienced fever, fatigue, breathing difficulties and/or coughing, please get tested, stay at home and cancel your appointment as far in advance as possible.

– If you are running more than 5 minutes late for an appointment, please call (0434 946 209) and let me know, as we may have to reschedule for another time or forfeit your treatment. N.B. Our late cancellation policy is back in place; i.e. if you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, the treatment will be forfeited and / or full charge will be added to your next treatment.

– It would be best if you could please wear your bodysuit to and from your appointment, therefore minimising the amount of changing time so we can maximise the treatment time!

– Please apply the hand sanitiser supplied at the front door before entering. You will have the opportunity to wash your hands once you enter the treatment room.

– Wear your mask and QR code scan in on entering the building please. Your mask can be removed in the room if you’re having a facial. There’s an email going out to confirm these points and how Peninsula Endermologie’s covid safe plan is being executed!

Thank you to everyone for your continuing support. Can’t wait to see you all again!

Risks to look out for with menopause

Yesterday I mentioned some of the symptoms that are associated with menopause.

Just a few, because there’s at least 30 that are medically acknowledged.

And given us women are the queens of “putting up with things”, there’s probably a lot more that’s not even reported.

The symptoms range from severe life-limiting conditions, such as heart disease and osteoporosis to saggy skin.

And, let me tell you, none of them feel insignificant.

One of the best articles I’ve read on maintaining a healthy, happy body during menopause (and after) is this one by Mark Sisson: https://www.marksdailyapple.com/menopause-beyond-the…/

Well worth a quick read.

There’s a whole series on his website where he explores diet and lifestyle options as well as hormone replacement therapy.

Tomorrow I’ll explain how Endermologie is also a wonderful tool in your Menopause-management-kit!

Lymphoedema in the news

Good to see lymphedema being highlighted in the news. The more that it’s recognised, the more help will become available for people who suffer this challenging condition.

If you know anyone with a mild or secondary lymphedema, Endermologie is 3 times more effective and works 3 times faster than manual lymphatic massage.

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/jul/29/it-messes-with-you-mentally-the-fear-swelling-and-stress-of-life-with-lymphoedema?fbclid=IwAR0GSGzvzjmwp9Q-9Eg3eiukwVT0qRc33xdbatC77dlVr-qArJGFXlpFlP0

Endermologie for menopause

The scientifically-proven effects of #Endermologie on the stimulation of arterial and venous blood flow, and the impact on edema and the connective tissues and muscles are significant.

Although the Mécano-Stimulation technique that Endermologie uses works on the surface of the body, the deeper receptors to pressure and vibration are also activated.

Therefore resulting in an increased stimuli to the autonomous and central nervous systems, causing beneficial neuro-chemical reactions. Women with complaints of #insomnia especially choose to undergo such chemically-free therapies as Endermologie treatments actually promote relaxation and sleep.

The greater the stress of #menopause on the mind and body, the more severe symptoms can become. It makes perfect sense to implement as many stress-reducing activities as possible, including a regular program of exercise, a healthy diet and good hydration.

Putting a series of Endermologie treatments near the top of the list is just icing on the cake.

In one study, they found that Endermologie can have similar effects to #HRT: “Our study shows that one 40-min Endermologie session produces no noticeable changes in biological parameters, except for plasma estradiol levels, which vary significantly, first by decreasing during the session, then by increasing afterward. Such an Endermologie/estrogen interaction can be compared to the clinical effects observed in some patients undergoing regular Endermologie treatment: return of menses in amenorrheal patients and a trophic effect on skin and subcutaneous connective tissue comparable to that observed during postmenopausal hormone replacement therapy.”

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10541843/

So, if Menopause is getting you down, then why not give Endermologie a go?

Try Endermologie for menopause skin concerns

So yesterday I discussed how Endermologie can relieve some of the symptoms of menopause.

Today I’m pointing out that it can help with many of the concerns many of us have as we go through menopause and peri-menopause.

Namely, the “what the hell just happened to the skin on my face/neck/décolletage/hands/legs?” etc etc and that feeling of tired heavy legs we feel at the end of the day.

As before, there’s a whole heap of clinical research showing that Endermologie is hugely effective in treating these concerns also.

Tomorrow, I’ll post a testimony from someone who loves Endermologie to help her deal with menopause.

Can you believe it?  Lockdown 6.0???!!!!

Just when we thought we were out of the woods!

Let’s hope this lockdown is short and snappy and I’ll see you all starting back next Friday.

In the meantime, please let me know if you’re struggling with anything and if I can help in any way. Even if you just need to have a whinge. My ears are ready!

Reminder and guide on how to check your breasts

I may have had to cancel 12 appointments today, but this lockdown doesn’t mean I can’t keep posting and boasting about Endermologie!

Although we can’t treat people with active cancer that are undergoing treatment, we can help women recover from those treatments.

I’ll discuss this more tomorrow, but in the meantime, consider this your reminder to check your breasts. If you’re not sure how, here’s a handy guide:

https://www.breastcancer.org/symp…/testing/types/self_exam

Here’s the difference Endermologie can make to breast cancer survivor.

Here’s the difference #Endermologie can make to a person who’s survived #breast_cancer.

Having ongoing issues with #scars and/or secondary #lymphedema can mean these survivors have a reduced quality of life for years after #cancer treatment. Endermologie can heal the #scars, reducing #fibrosis and #inflammation and allow proper mobilisation of the tissues and therefore the limb.

Endermologie is also 3 times more effective and efficient than manual #lymphatic#massage in managing secondary #lymphedema.

The best treatment’s Endermologie for heavy legs.

#Heavy_legs are often described as legs that feel weighted, stiff, and tired — making the legs feel hard to lift and move forward.

It can happen as a result of #varicose_veins, #Peripheral_arterial_disease (PAD), #restless_legs_syndrome, #lumbar_spinal_stenosis, #fibromyalgia and #overtraining_syndrome (OTS).

Aside from feeling heavy, your legs can also appear #swollen, #bumpy (with varicose veins), have sores that are slow to heal, look pale or bluish (due to poor circulation) and have #cellulite.

Knowing why you experience heavy legs is important, so that you can treat any underlying cause.

Tomorrow I’ll tell you why #Endermologie is a fantastic treatment for the symptoms.

No more heavy legs for you!

In this study by Watson et al, they found that Endermologie significantly stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation – by a lot!

In fact, they reported a 400% increase in localised blood circulation and a 300% increase in lymphatic circulation!

And that circulatory boost helps to not only relieve heavy legs, it’ll benefit your immunity, hormonal balance, and every other system in your body, after all, everything is connected.

This is why I think everyone should be having Endermologie!

Let’s just hurry up this lockdown so we can get back to it hey?

Doctor’s praise for how well Endermologie treatment for heavy legs works.

Last post today about heavy legs. This one’s a testimonial from a doctor who uses Endermologie in his practice to help his patients with poor lymph and/or blood circulation. (Note, where there’s one, there’s usually the other)!

I wish every vascular doctor could include this non-invasive, clinically proven treatment in their practice!

But, at least you guys have me (when I’m not in lockdown)!

If you have questions about how Endermologie can help you, just drop me a DM.

Endermologie for pre & post op

When I worked at The Harley Medical Group, London, our surgeons used to recommended Endermologie before and after all liposuction procedures. And it’s not just for lipo.

But I’m spoiling the spoiler. Stay tuned tomorrow for more info.

Endermologie Pre & Post Op is a clever strategy

Why it’s really important to look at what the data says.

I’ve been ranting a lot lately about data.

About why it’s really important to look at what the data or preferably metadata says.

We’re seeing a huge surge of self-proclaimed specialists emerging on the socials talking about everything from vaccines, to lockdown restrictions to skincare to beauty products etc etc etc!

And I must admit I find it exhaustingly infuriating. Becoming a specialist in a particular subject takes years, sometimes decades, of study and practice.

And without fail, specialists will rely on practices that are proven reliable with data.

A nurse that’s worked in elderly care and stoma care services should not be considered an expert in vaccines.

Social media influencers without relevant expertise should not be considered experts in epidemiology and public health planning, and therefore whether lockdowns are appropriate.

And aestheticians should not be considered experts in managing chronic dermatological conditions.

It’s really important to know who to listen to in any field.

I urge everyone to seek out the experts in their field. Ask their opinion. Ask to see the data – if you think you can interpret it (it’s not always easy believe me).

Look at what the overwhelming majority of professionals in that area say.

It’s the only way to know that the information you’re consuming is based on facts and is as accurate as possible.

And because it’s bloomin important, in the next few days/weeks, I’ll share the process that LPG, the creators and manufacturers of Endermologie use to ensure they make claims based on data.

I’ll highlight the experts in the field who work with LPG to discover treatment protocols that are clinically proven to work.

And, as always, I can share that data with anyone who’d like to see it.

Because data matters. The facts matter. Your safety matters.

You matter.

Trust Endermologie for Real data. Real results.

The foundations of LPG and Endermologie. SWIPE ACROSS.

Based on independent studies.

Real data. Real results.

Check on the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/peninsula.endermologie for all updates

Over the next few days I’ll highlight some of the LPG medical experts that work with LPG technologies – i.e. Endermologie – to help their patients. These posts will feature on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/peninsula.endermologie

Dr Razzouk is an Obstetrician-Gynaecologist in Nice, France.

He uses Endermologie to optimise recovery from breast reconstructions after radiotherapy and surgery.

And he’s getting pretty awesome results. Let me know if you’d like to see the data.

It’s in French, but that’s what Google translate is for right?

All claims I make regarding Endermologie are proven with data. No false claims. No anecdotes. No doubts. Just results.

Most of you will already know that I’m big on evidence-based medicine. In fact I’m big on backing up any claim with evidence.

It’s probably why I get a bit nuts when I hear people (be it beauty therapists or conspiracy theorists) sprouting bulloney with the thinnest of threads to support their claims. Because it’s really easy to just say stupid stuff but it takes a lot more effort to dispute it using evidence.

Of course there are some things in life that are allays going to be difficult to explain. Why two people can experience the same event from two totally different perspectives? Why each of us despite similar upbringings will have different moral compasses? Why some people’s bodies react to stimuli in such vastly different ways? And why some of us get cellulite and others don’t, darn it!

Thankfully with Endermologie, many questions have already been answered in over 145 clinical trials.

This peer reviewed data is proof of Endermologie’s efficacy.

No false claims.

No anecdotes (though we have lots of those too).

No doubts.

Just results.

Here are some of the studies done that proves Endermologie’s effect on adipose tissue – aka fat.

Let me know if you’d like to see copies of any of these papers and I’ll email them to you. And to see many more of these, head on over to the Facebook page where I’ll be publishing many more over the next few weeks.

Learn about collagen from the great Mark Sisson

It looks like lockdown 6.0 is likely to continue until Friday 5th November — as long as you’re fully vaccinated.*

Further to Dan Andrew’s announcement, it’s looking likely that I’ll be able to welcome you back starting from 5th November — as long as you’re fully vaccinated.*

That’s dependent on the Victorian population reaching a target of 70% double dose vaccination. So, it’s not set in stone just yet. But it’s my fervent hope that we’ll have hit that goal by then, if not before!

My family will have hit that target in 3 weeks time, when the kids are eligible for their second dose.

I’ll cancel all appointments until that time, so please rebook after that date, and as always, it’s best to book in as far in advance as you can, as I anticipate it’s going to be chocca!

I’m really hoping I’ll see you all sooner rather than later.

Niamh x

*For everyone’s safety, I will be required to check your vaccination status upon entry. In order to avoid being turned away, I must ask you to please reschedule until you’ve received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

I’m not in the least surprised to see Coolsculpting in court. I’d imagine that this is one of many. Be wary!!!

It was only a matter of time that coolsculpting appeared in one of these headlines.

I know of 3 people personally who’ve suffered adverse events from this treatment (one of severe skin stretching and 2 severe burns) and 2 of those 3 cases were swept under the rug as they’re settled out of courts.

But I guess they couldn’t afford to settle this one!

As always, whenever you consider any cosmetic treatment, please be vigilant with the treatment type and the operator who’s performing it.

Look for data, look for history and look for reviews.

This article confirms what we know about metabolism and a few things that might surprise you.

Interesting studies about metabolism. Looks like calories in-calories out remains the most important contributing factor to weight gain. Though I’d love to see if the data was broken down to specific times of the month for us women.

Metabolism

Worried that the Covid-kilos means none of your clothes fit? Me too. Don’t worry, I’ve got your back!

Anyone else having a last-minute panic about the fact that the Covid-kilos means none of your clothes fit? Only me?? Don’t worry, I’ve got you!

After more than 260 days in the world’s longest lockdown, I’m so delighted to announce that we’ll be reopening soon!

Hope everyone woke up with a feeling of Hope and Relief today.

After a traumatic couple of years, many of us, myself included, feel like altered people. Ongoing lockdowns have taken their toll on most of us, mentally, emotionally and physically.

So it’s natural to feel a little peculiar right about now!!

After watching the guidelines change for the beauty industry opening date no less than 3 times yesterday, I’m feeling all of these things today!!

Hence, I’m taking my time to navigate what this means for me. I have a few concerns about our fast track opening before the recommended 80% vaccination rate. The largest of which is the acknowledgement that the Mornington Peninsula will no doubt be inundated with visitors this weekend, and the risk of covid transmission in this area is likely to be at an all-time high. Given contact tracing has not registered the hundreds of cases known about locally in the last few weeks, I’m understandably nervous.

Plus, my kidlets are only returning to school part-time (and on different dates, so there will always be one child home, until November most likely).

I’m also keenly aware that I want to prioritise existing clients and do not want to open my calendar to be swamped with new consults which I may then struggle to service.

So bear with me while I work through some obstacles and I’ll email all of my existing client database to let you know regarding any changes to my opening date!

Please go gently with yourself in these next few days/weeks. Look after yourself and others.

Look forward to seeing your faces soon.

This isn’t the first cool sculpting review that I’ve heard of that’s a lot like this. The take away seems to be “don’t do it”.

This isn’t the first review of cool sculpting that I’ve heard of that’s a lot like this. And I’ve also heard much worse, with some people being left with permanent damage.

Certainly worth a read if you’re considering the procedure.

Please follow the detailed guidelines for Peninsula Endermologie check in requirements. Thank you for your compliance.

It has been brought to my attention that one of my clients entered my clinic last week using a fake vaccination certificate. Making the decision to put me, my family (especially my immunocompromised family members), my clients and my community at risk.

As a result, I will now have to insist on seeing the ServiceVictoria tick and hologram screen that appears on your phone after you have QR checked in.

There’s a step-by-step guide to help you do this below.

Please download the app and get connected so that you’re ready to go as soon as you arrive for your appointment. Then you can save it to “Favourite check-ins” so you can just tap the box for all follow-up visits!

I apologise to everyone who’s sent me genuine certificates for this inconvenience, but I believe this to be in the best interests for everyone’s safety.

Here’s how to add your digital vaccination certificate to the Service Victoria app:

1. Make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of the Service Victoria app. Find the app in App Store or Google Play store and tap update.

2. Open up the Service Victoria app and tap on the option to “Add certificate via myGov”. This will take you to login to myGov.

3. Scroll to ‘proof of COVID-19 vaccination’ and tap ‘Go to Medicare’.

4. In myGov, tap “view history” and then “Share with cheque in app”.

5. You should see the Service Victoria app with a button saying “Share” next to it – tap on that.

6. Read the conditions, then tap “Accept and share”.

7. Back in the Service Victoria app, tap “Add certificate” – then you’re good to go!

You can also add your certificates using the Express Plus Medicare app if you’ve got it installed – and if you don’t have Medicare you can add your certificates using Individual Healthcare Identifier in myGov. If you have difficulty with the Express Plus Medicare app on your myGov account you can contact the Commonwealth government hotline on 13 23 07. There’s more info and instructions to use the Express Medicare app on the Service Victoria website: https://service.vic.gov.au/covid-19/add-covid-19-digital-certificate?fbclid=IwAR2AGAie5gCVsO-b8u8LDupzXqfWmPL1C5K9U_u4h0gk2286VNzkqglo6co

Fluid retention & fat. Studies show compromised lymphatic function can cause cellulite, weight gain & many more issues if left unresolved.

Wondering why I keep banging on about cellulite? After all, if over 90% of women have it, it’s perfectly ‘normal’, right?

Not always.

I see all the time women who present to me with cellulite caused by fat deposits that are far more extreme than you’d expect in people of their age, activity level, and lifestyle.

One thing many of these women have in common is they complain about ‘heavy legs’ or ‘poor circulation’. It’s this poor circulation – i.e. compromised lymphatic function that causes cellulite, weight gain and so many more issues if left unresolved.

This excerpt from a recent study review explains the phenomenon: “worsened lymphatic drainage in [their] legs had fat stores that were less willing to break down and release energy both when at rest and in response to stimulation.”

The great thing is Endermologie can help.

“There is also evidence that mechanical massage (Endermologie ®) can increase the willingness of adipose tissue in the upper leg to breakdown fats, presumably by improving local microcirculation.”

Let’s unlearn the expectations we (and society) have for our bodies. And embrace ourselves with tenderness and compassion. Sometimes that means reaching out to someone for help. With advice on how to nourish our bodies (and unlearn old destructive habits). Sometimes it means finding a movement expert to get you moving in a way that makes you feel energetic and strong. And sometimes it might mean seeking advice on changing aspects of your body that you find it difficult to embrace. All worthy pursuits as long as they make you feel empowered, confident and happy.

I’m here to help if you need me.

This study looks at the effects of Endermologie on fat. It says that “mechanical massage promotes noticeable functional improvements in adipose tissue biology including enhanced lipolytic responsiveness and ATBF [adipose tissue blood flow}.” This means that Endermologie causes the release of free fatty acids (FFAs) from adipocytes (aka fat cells) to be used as an energy source for other tissues – e.g. muscles. Thus supporting my claim that Endermologie reduces stubborn fat and in fact can help with weight loss when used in combination with good nutrition and exercise.

Just wanted to reiterate that there are no false claims here. Yes, Endermologie really works.

A very happy Christmas from me and mine to you and yours. Let’s hope 2022 is gentler with all of us! Wishing you peace, joy and prosperity.

A very merry Christmas from me and mine to you and yours. Only fitting that that photo is blurry and that Mum and Dad look exhausted! After all, the last couple of years have been A LOT! But we’re grateful to be living in this beautiful spot, thankful for the support of our wonderful community and feeling bloomin lucky to be able to enjoy a few days off with this crew!

Thinking of all of those who’ve lost a loved one this year, who are struggling with the separation from family, and those who’ve had a couple of years that have left them feeling hopeless. And an enormous thank you to those essential workers who’ve carried us all through these rocky times.

Let’s hope 2022 is gentler with all of us! Wishing you peace, joy and prosperity.
