Early detection is the best chance of fighting the disease. Regularly check your breasts (and encourage the women around you to do the same) and look for any changes.
Do not hesitate to see your doctor if something isn’t right. Most changes aren’t due to breast cancer, but it’s essential to see your doctor without delay.
I’m making an annual commitment to have a mammogram every October. At my age (48), it’s covered by Medicare and it takes only an hour of my day.
