Endermologie treatment for scars
I’ve had some interest in the Endermologie treatment of scars, so here’s a little confirmation.
.
.
Scars can be treated at any point. Treating the area surrounding a NEW wound or injury means a faster healing time, which essentially means less time for complications such as infection and therefore less risk of scarring.
.
.
No direct contact is required to boost the surrounding tissues with improved circulation (blood to deliver healing factors, oxygen and nutrients ro the skin) and an improvement in the lymphatic circulation to shift excess swelling (inflammation) and, bruising.
.
.
But even if the scar is OLDER and established, the action of the massage will help to break down any fibrosis (hardening of the skin tissues) and return the skin to a more supple, softer texture.
.
.
If you are planning surgery or have an old scar that hasn’t healed as well as you would have liked, make an appointment to see me so we can chat about your treatment options.
