Coronavirus immunity tips
Worried about #coronavirus and know that stockpiling loo roll isn’t going to cut it?
Over the next few days I’ll share some #immunity-boosting tips to keep you and your lived ones happy, healthy and safe.
Let’s start with one of the most important systems for #immunity in our #bodies, our #lymphatic system.
This system has been hailed as THE most important system in our bodies by ancient #medicines for centuries. It is our first line of #defense against #disease, i.e. it recognises disease and gets to work immediately to produce immune cells (such as #lymphocytes, #monocytes, and antibody producing cells called plasma cells). The network of vessels and nodes transport the lymph fluid containing #antibodies and lymphocytes around our bodies to fight infection whilst filtering away the #toxic remnants and infectious agents.
80% of our #lymph vessels run just under our #skin, collecting and removing waste fluids in our interstitial tissues, relieving fluid and #toxinbuild up.
An efficient lymph will boost #immunity and keep your body functioning at its best.
A #healthy #lifestyle with a good #diet and plenty of #exercise and #water will help to maintain a healthy #lymphatic system.
Here are some specific suggestions to keep your lymph moving!
– #exercise, in particular #rebounding (trampoline jumping) and #skipping
– #hydrotherapy: #contrast shower (alternating 2 min hot water with 30 sec of cold water)
– #hydration, make sure you drink plenty of water
– #lymphaticdrainage by massage: #ENDERMOLOGIE
